Asia Simulation Federation (ASIASIM)

Simulation for Everything. Simulation is widely regarded as a third approach, complementing theory and experimentation, in our quest to understand and shape the world. It has vast applications in high-tech fields including aeronautics and astronautics, smart manufacturing, military and defense, and medical care.

The Asia Simulation Federation (ASIASIM) is a non-profit, international academic organization officially registered in China in December 2024. It was jointly initiated by China Simulation Federation, Japan Society for Simulation Technology, Korea Society for Simulation, Society of Simulation and Gaming of Singapore, and Malaysian Simulation Society.

ASIASIM follows a development philosophy of openness, innovation, collaboration, inclusiveness, and shared success. It currently has over 30 member organizations from China (Hong Kong and Macau included), Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, Thailand, and Bangladesh. Its membership encompasses a diverse range of institutions, including international simulation societies, universities, research institutes, and sci-tech enterprises from countries around the globe. Together, they form a multilateral ecosystem of simulation technology that aims for shared success.

The primary mission of ASIASIM is to promote the advancement and popularization of simulation technology in Asia, foster exchange and collaboration among international organizations, and drive innovation and application of simulation theories, methodologies, generic technologies, and frontier technologies. It also aims to cultivate talents in this field, publish international journals, develop international standards, promote the adoption and popularization of simulation technologies, and build a high-quality academic exchange platform that connects industry with academia. It serves as a vital bridge that connects sci-tech innovations from around the world while aggregating industrial resources. Together with the Society for Modeling and Simulation International (SCS) and the European Simulation Federation (EUROSIM), ASIASIM stands as one of the three major international academic organizations in the field of simulation.

Rooted in Asia, ASIASIM focuses on multilateral collaboration with a global vision. It plays a significant role in advancing global sci-tech governance in simulation, driving scientific and technological innovation, fostering friendly cooperation, and promoting shared success in the field.
